ahhh.....

Whew!  The last few months have been a whirlwind!  It is crazy to think how fast the time has gone by...

So, to update....We are now in Michigan and getting settled into real life here.  It is quiet in the house and I am hoping to get some serious blogging done.  Abby is asleep for her afternoon nap and Steve is off at school meeting with his advisor.

Some updates to the Klenke family:

• We are now a one car family.  Right before we left CO we sold the good ole grand am to a girl going to college.  It was bittersweet.  I remember driving that car off the lot when I started college.  I am glad it went to good hands.
• We live in a condo.  It is perfect for us.  There is a great study area for Steve in the basement, a great "main level" with a dining area, kitchen, and living room and three bedrooms upstairs (room for a guest if you want to stay!) 
• We are transitioning into life here.  It is SO GREAT to be by family.  I love having the freedom to go see my nieces or take a quick trip up to the cottage.  
• I am missing my CO girls...You know who you are...

I am so impressed with Steve here.  This U of M thing is what we always dreamed of but is so far out of our comfort zone (when I say "our" I really mean Steve's because honestly, I am not doing anything new....)  When we say we are in the Air Force, people around here say, "What's that?"  Well, not really but it seems like it.  People out here know NOTHING of the military and how military families function.  It is quite different than COS.  

Alright, well the madness with blogging will continue, I have a list of posts I want to do, hopefully I get them all up!

Our stuff all packed up....

Our stuff RE packed....FYI.....NEVER USE BUDGET AS A TRUCK RENTAL COMPANY!  The truck broke down in Monument...It took 3 days for them to get us a new one and they had to "re-pack" our stuff with "professional movers"  The "professionals" couldn't fit everything into the truck that K group packed....So they had to jam it into our empty car in tow.  That car was loaded - 8 couch cushions, a bike, lawnmower, several bins of stuff....There was not one inch to spare...They actually had to drive the car onto the trailer and then fill in the drivers seat with more stuff.....I repeat NEVER USE BUDGET AS A TRUCK RENTAL COMPANY!
