Back to Work

Today was my second day back to work...

It was great.  I really do love my job.  It is nice to have some adult conversations during the day that don't revolve around poop and it is great to problem solve and take care of 19 little ones.

I missed seeing my teammates everyday and even though I am not there all day, I still get to see them.  I love the people I work with.  They make me so happy; we really take care of each other.

My kids are so happy to have me back, it is great to be there.  It is fun to see all they have learned these past 11 weeks.

All this is possible because I know Abby is in the best of care.  I have dropped her off the last two mornings and even though I have been sad to leave her, I know that she is with someone who will love her just like I love her.  Everyday when I pick Abby up there is a detailed "run down" of all that happened...And pictures throughout the day to let me know how it is going.  I couldn't ask for more.  You know who you really trust when you can drop off your child for the day at their house and have absolutely no worries.  We are a blessed family...

My husband...

Today the first graders had a little play...Steve was a trooper and came with Abigail and I.

One of my parents came up to me and our conversation went like this,
 "Oh!  And is this Abby?"
"yes, here she is!"
"And is that your husband???"
"Yes"
(as she is looking at Steve who is about 10 feet away) "Wow, good job!"

I am pretty sure she was commenting on how attractive she thought Steve was...It was hilarious!

Uncle Andy Visits

Ready for picture overload....OK.....GO!
(Andy has an awesome camera and we got the benefit of it when he was here!)

Uncle Andy gave me my medicine!

Abby says,  "Daddy, are you really playing Dominion again?"

Andy took us to Abby's first Rockies Game.  We were all supporting the Tigers even though they weren't playing that game :)
 Abby wears old man pants.
 Thanks Brittany for the snacks!

We also went up to Breck!  Abby's first trip there!
The three of us ordered an enormous pizza!  18 slices!  Yikers!

Abby went swimming in the pool!
 Daddy posed outside the chalet!

Yes, we bought Abby this onsie...I can't wait for her to wear it

 Double fisting...

We miss Andy already and can't wait too see him again!

Mommys Taking me to the Zoo Tomorrow...Zoo Tomorrow.....

If only the song went:  Melissa and Cathy took me to the zoo yesterday....But that doesn't work with the tune.

We fed the giraffes...

And Melissa and Cathy paid to put me in the wild African wind tunnel...Abby didn't join me.

Overall it was a really fun day!

2 months

Two months ago we were given the greatest blessing....Little Abigail came into this world.  Really, we can't get enough of her and everyday we thank God for her.  She is amazing and has stolen our hearts....

Abby's two month information:
She smiles - I love waking up in the morning, peering over her bassinet, and see her give me a huge grin.

She follows our voices - she knows both daddy and mommy's voice and will turn her head in the direction of our voices.

She sits in her bumbo chair - we still have to support her, but she likes it

She plays in her "activity center" and likes to move and kick to make the little bird sing.
She is a champ at eating and will eat super fast.  She gets really cranky and cries a lot when she is hungry...Then she attacks mommy like a ravenous wolf...this is her trying to eat the couch.

She is almost 12 pounds.
She had her first shot and took it like a champ.
She LOVES baths/showers and could stay in there all day long.  She was born in Colorado, but loves water like she was born in Michigan. (I wasn't joking about those 12 pounds)

She likes going on car rides and falls asleep about half the time.

Other pictures just for kicks:
She wears shoes:
 She loves her daddy:

She's ready for the mountains...Well, as soon as her face grows into the goggles
Her good luck wink for dad

She dresses up for holidays:

And for just plain old regular days:

She has friends...

Rib-bit:

And her momma has super talented friends...Thank you Melissa for these pictures!

So far there has only been one day that made us both feel like this:

This is how we feel all the other days:

Your momma and daddy love you very much precious girl
