Chicago!

Sarah graduated from high school and we went to Chicago for the day to celebrate!

At the top of Willis tower.

 The Bean!

Dinner at a real Italian restaurant (Steve's friend, Antonio, from Italy, said this was the only authentic Italian food he has had since he has been in the states).

This guy was so weird!  He made "kissy faces" at Sarah and she responded, "No, seriously, STOP"  It was awesome!

Who would have thought that two grown women could have so much fun at a Lego store!  We had a blast creating scenes....This is on of us hanging out in bikinis....Hilarious.

 Yes, we are eating them...
 Arms up, "Yeah!"
We have a "gun" (i.e. walkie talkie) and a megaphone, to keep us safe from the afro and beard intruders hanging out behind the tree...

Sarah made Laurel...A gardener :)  So cute.  (Laurel is her mom)
 Willis tower again.

 The bean again.

Our authentic pizza!  We forgot to take a picture before we ate some...We were STARVING
 Trying on accessories!

I almost bought a jacket at Burberry for $1195, but decided to pass and by a 2 inch by 2 inch wallet for $280....wait, no....I did none of that.  We had fun shopping and looking at the ridiculous prices!

Then we went to Navy Pier.  We had a ton of fun on the ferris wheel, but more fun on the swings!  Who would have thought a carnival ride on swings would be so much fun?

All in all it was an incredible day.  Some things to remember:
  • aching feet
  • backpack girl
  • getting lost and having Steve just a phone call away to save us (I called Steve and him, knowing I am in Chicago, answered promptly, I started the conversation by "We need help"  Not the best way to start a conversation when you are two women in Chicago....Really, we just needed directions.  He was a champ and took my calls all day long).
  • Sarah had to figure out how to buy a subway ticket all by herself as I went through and her ticket didn't work!  I was stuck on one side of the fence and she was on the other!
  • We got two free subway passes for the day and only had to buy one fare (see above bullet) for the entire day!
It was so fun to spend the day with my beautiful cousin Sarah!
