IVIG #4

Getting "infused" right now.  It is going great!

It started off with me calling at 3:30 to make sure they are OK with taking another patient (I do the infusion at Labor and Delivery and if there are a lot of deliveries, I am not priority...the babies are :))  I called, they said, "Yes, we are ready and waiting for you!"

I have Lisa as a nurse.  This is the first time I have had someone who has done the infusion before (she was my week 2 nurse).  The head RN even came in and got the directions on how to do the infusion..She said, "I am here every week when you come, but don't know how to do it myself."  She asked a lot about why I need to do IVIG and the history with Abby.  It is always fun for me to share this story with medical staff because they are amazed at how well Abby is doing :)

When I got here the IVIG was already in the room, they were super prepared, and we started the infusion right away.  I am on bottle #4 now and it is before 7:00.  Hopefully I will be heading home soon!

I brought the nurses cookies today, I wanted to leave them on the bed when I left, but Lisa is leaving soon, so I will hand them off to her before I go, she can get a little "oatmeal raisin cookie sugar rush" before she goes.

I really can't begin to tell you how great they are up here at Labor and Delivery at St. Joes.  I wish I could deliver BK2 here!
