A great husband

Recently I have been in awe of what a great husband I have...Really, he is the best.

During those "dark days" (really, it was just dark from about 5:00-9:00 pm, but that was a long four hours everyday) with Lucy, Steve was 100% there, hands on, either playing with Abby or holding Lucy so I could have a break.  I really don't think I would have stayed sane without him.  He was the one I looked to when she cried, he always knew when to let her cry for a bit and when to go in there and hold her.  He cleaned up from dinner, he entertained Abby and got her ready for bed....Really, I am just so thankful that I am part of such a great team.  I felt like he was just as invested with the girls as I was.

Another thing Steve does that I love is he always takes pictures...I usually capture our day to day life on my phone, but I never get real, quality pictures...It's just too hard.  Steve is so diligent at getting weekly and monthly pictures of Lucy and has done such a great job learning about the camera and using it to its full capability.  Our girls will have tons of pictures of them when they get older.  We are so blessed.

Steve also is SO on top of our finances.  We are constantly reviewing the budget and saving for our future.  I love it that he is able to think of our long term goals but is also flexible enough to let us enjoy right now.  He realizes the importance of vacation and spends a lot of time figuring out where we want to put our money so we can use it wisely, but enjoy life too.

Really, he is just the best.  I love that man.

(and he makes me do things like this...probably not the best thing after a c-section, but it makes a great picture!)
