Well, IVIG was doubled this week.
I was hoping that it would double in concentration, not in amount...It doubled in amount. So now, I have about 8 bottles to go through instead of four.
The reasoning for this is that at 20 weeks, BK2 has more blood pumping through her body...More blood pumping means that if my blood mixes with hers, we could have an issue. So we have more IVIG in my body to neutralize my antibodies.
Despite being stuck at the hospital for almost 6 hours, it wasn't bad. They let me order dinner (delicious hospital food) and were very caring as I had a lot on my mind last Wednesday.
I now know to come to my treatments prepared....5 hours of time stuck in a bed is time I can use to get things done.
